How to install
installation of catia V5 macros
e3schrauben
the macro automatically inserts screws and pins into the assembly NEW
the macro enables the cyclical insertion of one part after another, so the work is very fast
the macro places the screws and pins in the assembly using the constrains obtained from the selected hole
the macro also enables the CATIA REUSE PATTERN to be used on the fly
depending on the selected hole and hole depth, the macro will determine the size of the screw or pin
and the user has the option to confirm or change the selected size
the user can select a screws and pins from the library where all dimensions are available
the user can also choose the screw strength and screw or pin extension
the user can also fix the size of the screw or pin and then the insertion is even faster
after the user confirms the correct size, the macro inserts a screw or pin into the assembly and renames it correctly
it means a new physical part name, partnumber and instance name is created
new name contains dimensions of the screw or pin, AE index, BEMI number, strength index
the AE index and BEMI number are retrieved by the macro from the assembly
finally, the macro saves the new part in the same directory as the assembly
for example:
31-38N_500545_________0908_040_____A00_ZYLSCHRAUBE_M8X40_DIN912_8_8
31-38N_500545_________0926_040_____A00_STIFT_DIN7979D_6X40
installation is very simple:
put the macro, the library folder and the ini file from the zip file in the same directory.
in the ini file you can change the standard screws and pins extension, the first value is default
zip file contains:
e3schrauben folder - library - this folder contains two parts - the default screw and the default pin
e3schrauben.catvba - macro
e3schrauben.ini - ini file, contains licence, names to the default screw and the default pin in library
(you can have the default screw and the default pin or you can have the own special screw and the pin)
and on the last line there are extensions, they can be freely set differently as needed
